As you may or may not know, I will be participating in the 2013 Breast Cancer 3day walk. I had such an incredible experience doing the 3-Day in 2007 that I’m going back for more. I’m so excited about this event, even though this year I really know what I’ve gotten myself into. This event isn’t easy, but I promise you, I wouldn’t be doing it if I didn’t believe 100% that it was worth every muscle ache, weary night and training walk!
I need your help. I am planning on raising $5000 to help fund breast cancer research and end the fight against breast cancer.
The 2007 3day has introduced me to many woman who have won their fight against breast cancer, in some cases twice. But, it has also introduced me to family members who have lost loved ones, this is what inspires me to walk. My hope is that by walking, someday we will only hear success stories.
If you have any questions or want to hear more about what I’m doing, give me a call, I love talking about the event.
If you are in a position to donate, would you consider sponsoring me at $1 per mile? Thank you for any support you can offer me.
What a tough 24 hours for the Ludwig household. Charsi after 12 wonderful years, has gone to romp with Khloe is doggy heaven.
Charsi, your sweet snuggly self will be missed. Have fun chasing tennis balls with Khloe
Sleep tight pretty girl!
Kow joined our family 6 years ago when she wandered into my parents garage the night of my brother and Lindsay’s rehearsal dinner. She was too sweet not to keep.
She was recently diagnosed with diabetes, a very expensive disease to treat in cats. The decision was ultimately made that it was time to put her at peace, today was that day.
Sleep tight sweet kitty!
On Saturday, we met up with a friend from our birthing class for a play date. Parker and Brooke are just a month apart, and are so cute playing together! We had a blast a WiggleWorks and will be going back again soon!!! Afterwards, Parker and I went to NY Cupcakes and brought Daddy home some delicious goodies!
For Easter, the three of us (plus Shelby) headed east to climb Little Si. When we got there the parking lot wasn’t too busy, so we thought there wouldn’t be many people on the trail. That couldn’t be further from the truth, it seems several families had the same idea we did. None the less, we made the trek up the beautiful mountain side enjoying the fresh spring air. When we got to the top, the Easter bunny had left a few eggs for Parker to find. He loved the eggs so much, he carried them all the way down. Shelby was an exceptionally good dag this hike and during a flat part of the trail, walked with Parker as he hiked for the first time.
After the hike, we headed over to Ben’s moms house for a yummy ham dinner. When we first arrived, Parker took his nap and when he woke up we were all ready to take him to the park and play. Funny thing, the Easter bunny left eggs at the park too! He again enjoyed collecting eggs for his basket, but was ready for dinner when the time came. We discovered that Parker LOVES ham. He put away more than I did! Growing boy.
Overall it was a fun filled weekend with lots of beautiful sunshine!!!
Happy Easter from our family to yours!
